Partick Thistle boss John Lambie has praised keeper Kenny Arthur, following his stint with the Scotland national team.
The 24-year-old Jags custodian was called up to act as cover for the injured Neil Alexander and Lambie believes that that is a sign of things to come.
He told the club's official website: "He has had a great season and he has had to in order to keep Kevin Budd out of the side, as he is a very good keeper too.
"What you also have to remember is that he is only 24 and is sure to mature over the course of the next few seasons. He will not reach his best until he is 28 or 29.
"It is also great to see him with such a smile on his face, I don't think I have ever seen him so happy."
Arthur was on the bench for the 1-0 defeat in Lithuania, with Celtic's Rab Douglas also injured.
