Chris Erskine set to be fit for Well clash
Partick Thistle expect midfielder Chris Erskine to shrug off tightness in his leg ahead of the visit of Motherwell on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Tomas Cerny (foot) remains out for Thistle while skipper Abdul Osman is suspended following his late red card at Kilmarnock.
Long-term absentees Stuart Bannigan (knee), Gary Fraser (knee) and Mustapha Dumbuya (Achilles) remain out.
Thistle winger Steven Lawless admits he still gets an extra edge to the build-up against his former club.
But he knows he has to focus on helping his team on Saturday as Thistle bid to get off the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership.
Lawless left Motherwell for Firhill in 2012 and has made more than 150 appearances for the Jags but he always looks forward to facing his first club.
"It's one of the fixtures I look forward to and look for when the fixture list comes out," said the 25-year-old, who scored the only goal when the teams last met at Firhill.
"But we just have to focus on ourselves. If a few of the boys have an off day we will not have the best of chances. But if we all stick to our jobs I'm sure we can get the win.
"I'd rather get the win than any personal goal against Motherwell."
Lee Lucas and Luka Belic are getting closer to their first Premiership action for Motherwell after featuring for the under-20s.
Jacob Blyth and Kieran Kennedy returned to full training on Thursday, but are not ready to return.
Carl McHugh is getting closer to recovery following a serious bout of concussion, while Joe Chalmers remains out with a groin problem.
Meanwhile, Craig Clay believes Motherwell are the perfect platform for himself and his fellow Conference recruits to shine.
Motherwell have capitalised on the talent available in the Vanarama National League to good effect in recent years.
Former Kidderminster winger Marvin Johnson made them a tidy profit when he was sold to Oxford last month and Louis Moult has scored 25 goals since he was bought from Wrexham.
Motherwell this summer signed Ben Heneghan from Chester and bought Ryan Bowman from Gateshead as well as bringing in Clay and Richard Tait from Grimsby, who won promotion back to the Football League last season.
Clay said: "I think all the lads have stepped up well. Grimsby was a big club and you are expected to win most games so there is a big expectation.
"But you always want to play at the highest level and it's hard to get out of that league with only one team going up automatically. It's a tough league.
"There's a lot of players who go unrecognised so I think they could pick up a few more gems."
