Partick midfielder Sean Welsh banned for visit of Hearts
Partick Thistle midfielder Sean Welsh is suspended for the visit of Hearts.
Welsh misses the Ladbrokes Premiership contest following his red card against Aberdeen last weekend.
Long-term absentees Stuart Bannigan (knee), Gary Fraser (knee) and Mustapha Dumbuya (Achilles) remain out.
Ryan Edwards has vowed to become an impact player for Partick.
The attacking midfielder joined Thistle in September last year and missed several weeks of last season while captaining Australia Under-23s in their failed Olympic qualifying tournament.
The former Reading player is set for his 25th appearance for the Jags against Hearts and he is keen to make his mark.
"I joined late last season and missed a lot of football with internationals, so it took me a while to break into the team," the 22-year-old said.
"I think I finished the season quite well and had a good start to the season with the amount of game time I've got, so I just want to kick on from there. There is a lot of competition so you need to work hard to keep your place.
"I've set myself a target of goals scored and making a real impact on games, rather than just getting through a game and making an appearance. I want to have an impact on the game, whether it be a goal-saving block, an assist or a goal, and just add my energy to the team.
"And in the long term I want to make the senior national team, and to do that I need to be playing and doing those things for Partick Thistle."
Hearts midfielder Jamie Walker is available after suspension.
Bjorn Johnsen could feature again following his debut off the bench against Inverness after playing in a development league game against Hibernian in midweek.
Johnsen was delighted to sign for Hearts after a turbulent spell in Bulgaria, saying: "It's good, you see different cultures and you learn quicker.
"But I wanted to get some stability. I was in an unstable country so when the chance came to come to Hearts, I just jumped on it.
"The stability and knowing the coach wanted me to play here, I needed that. I had other options but I needed somewhere to work on my game and go further with my future. I have the opportunity to play here constantly as well.
Hearts midfielder Angus Beith is nearing a return from injury.
