Partick V Hamilton at Firhill Stadium : Match Preview

31 August 2012 17:01
Craig in line for Jags bow Partick will include new on-loan Ross County striker Steven Craig when they face the Hamilton side who ended their interest in the Scottish Communities League Cup in midweek. The league leaders, who have a perfect three wins out of three games, welcome back Hugh Murray to their midfield after a suspension. But manager Jackie McNamara cannot finalise his side as Aaron Muirhead and Steven Lawless face late fitness checks while David Rowson's back injury keeps him out. McNamara said: "It is great to have Hugh available again as his knowledge of the game is a great help to the players around him. "We have the started the season really well overall so we can look forward to this game rather than being disappointed about the midweek result." Hamilton include last season's SFL Young player of the season Stevie May as they head to Partick Thistle. The striker, who scored 19 times for Alloa in the Third Division last season, has joined on loan from St Johnstone. However, Accies boss Billy Reid has yet to decide if he will start against the side his men defeated 1-0 in midweek in the Scottish Communities League Cup. Reid, who cannot call on defender Martin Canning due to injury, said: "Stevie is in my thoughts for this game but I cannot say that he will start as I have a lot to consider after beating Thistle with a great team performance. "Thistle are a good side who will be out for revenge."
