Paton misses out for Partick

Champions Partick will be without captain Paul Paton (knee) as they host Dunfermline before getting their hands on the First Division trophy.

Also missing for the Jags will be Aaron Muirhead (ban) and the injured Hugh Murray (foot) and James Craigen (knee).

Player/manager Alan Archibald said: "One of the reasons that we were so delighted to beat Falkirk last Saturday was that we could have a day for our fans to enjoy a trophy presentation at home.

"We have that and we do not want it to fall flat by putting in a poor performance against Dunfermline.

"They have done really well in their last two games to pick up six points but we want to ensure that we get a win in our final home game."

Dunfermline will look to continue their great escape following administration and a points penalty - and will have striker Ryan Wallace returning from an ankle injury to help their cause.

However, Chris Kane is suspended while Craig Dargo (hamstring) and Andy Geggan (ankle) also miss out.

East End Park manager Jim Jefferies said: "We have had two wins and two clean sheets since the 15-point penalty was imposed and that has been achieved through the hard work put in by the young players that remained.

"They now face the stiffest of all tests away to the First Division champions in what will be a party atmosphere.

"Nobody gave us a chance of being this close to safety and you just never know."
