Partick v Celtic called off
Scottish champions Celtic's Premiership clash at Partick has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Firhill.
The announcement was made shortly after 1pm following a pitch inspection ahead of a scheduled 5.30pm kick-off.
A statement on Partick's website read: "Unfortunately, following a pitch inspection, and despite the best efforts of the ground staff, today's game against Celtic has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch."
The postponement opened the door for Aberdeen to displace Celtic at the top of the league should they win at home to St Johnstone. Partick lie ninth in the table.
Thistle added that a new date for the fixture will be announced "as soon as possible" and instructed supporters to retain their tickets.
