Partick 1-1 Ross County: Match Report

11 December 2010 23:16
Brave Thistle earn point Ross County had to settle for a 1-1 draw at 10-man Partick after failing to make their numerical advantage count. The home side suffered a huge double setback in the 18th minute when Alan Archibald was sent off for a professional foul on Andrew Barrowman. From the resulting penalty, Richard Brittain tucked home his first league goal of the season. But Partick produced a positive response and after Conrad Balatoni had earlier been denied by County keeper Michael McGovern, they pulled level four minutes before half-time. Chris Erskine found the bottom corner from 18 yards, his second goal of the campaign. The closest either side came to a winner was when Steven Craig volleyed wide from 18 yards for County in the 56th minute.
