Falkirk 2-3 Partick: Report

09 April 2011 19:29
Erskine double helps Partick to win Chris Erskine's brace inflicted a damaging blow on Falkirk's promotion hopes as Partick secured a 3-2 win. Erskine needed just eight minutes to make an impact as he latched onto Martin Grehan's pass to find the bottom corner. The same pair combined again after 24 minutes to double the advantage and take Erskine's tally for the season to eight goals with a tidy finish. Patrick continued to dominate and Grehan's third assist of the afternoon allowed Kris Doolan to make it 3-0 after 62 minutes. But Falkirk launched a fightback and gave themselves hope four minutes later when Tom McManus poached from close range. The hosts continued to plug away and Carl Finnigan narrowed the deficit further with five minutes remaining, but Patrick held on for the three points.
