Parma given deadline extension

Parma president Giampietro Manenti has confirmed funds will be available, for the struggling club in the next 24 hours.

Deadline for the payment of wages has been extended by the players, with Manenti telling the La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper, that the funds will be transferred “today or tomorrow.”

The club has already been deducted one point this season, due to unpaid wages to players and staff, for the period between November and December 2013.

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) also announcing on Friday, that the club has been referred to the disciplinary commission, due to further unpaid wages dating back from July to September 2014.

Chief Prosecutor of Parma Antonio Rustico confirmed today, that a court hearing has been set for the 19th March, over the clubs unpaid taxes.
