Novara earned only their second win of the season in a 2-1 come-from-behind success against Parma on Saturday to boost their hopes of avoiding the drop.

Victory moved Novara out of the relegation zone ahead of Bologna's trip to Cagliari on Sunday.

Raffaele Rubino and Marco Rigoni scored the goals for Novara eight minutes apart in the second half after a Matteo Centurioni own goal had given the visitors a first-half lead.

Novara had Giuseppe Gemiti sent off late on as they held on for their first win in nine matches.

Their only other victory this season was on September 20, when they beat Inter Milan 3-1.

Lecce remain in the bottom three after a last-minute Pablo Barrientos goal saw them fall to a 1-0 home defeat against Catania.
