Bojinov seeks Italian stay

Parma striker Valeri Bojinov is hoping his loan from Manchester City can be made permanent, according to his agent.

The Bulgaria international has notched eight times this term and has impressed at the Ennio Tardini outfit with a string of fine displays.

He signed for the Citizens in 2007 but has rarely featured following a succession of serious injuries and, with his fitness worries behind him, advisor Gennaro Palomba admits his man is happy in Serie A.

"After years of bad luck is a pretty happy time for the boy," Palombo told Calcionews24.

"The future? I don't know if the situation has changed since January, when his move to Parma in exchange for McDonald Mariga was virtually a done deal, then the deal wasn't completed.

"I don't know if where City finish in the league will change the outlook for Bojinov, but his intention is to stay in Italy.

"Despite being Bulgarian by birth, Valeri feels Italian because he is here since he was 12 -years-old."
