The legend that is David Beckham

After only six months in France, David Beckham became the first Englishman to win a title in 4 different countries as he helped Paris Saint-Germain end their 19 year wait to become Champions.

In his career he has played for some of the biggest football clubs in the world as well as representing his country. While his career is coming to an end he is still regarded as one of the top professionals around and a very iconic figure across the globe.

His first title was back in 1995 - 1996 with Manchester United during his senior debut season and had a very successful spell during the following 8 years where we assisted United to a further 5 leagues, 2 FA Cups and 1 Champions League title. He was apart of the famous Manchester United squad of 1999 where they won an incredible treble; Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. Still to this day that feat has not been beat by an English team.

In the summer of 2003 his time at Manchester came to an end, but the move to Real Madrid was no step-down. His £24.5m transfer saw him become one of the legendary Galacticos to partner alongside the likes of Casillas, Carlos, Figo, Zidane and Ronaldo.

He settled in quickly and was a favourite of the Madrid faithful. He scored an impressive 5 goals in his first 16 appearances for the Spanish giants. While honours fell short during his spell, he won the LA Liga title in the 2006-2007 season before departing to Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer of '07.

David as he did with Madrid became a big hit in the US as the fans and media adored him. It took him 2 years to receive any honours and he did this in the form of back to back MLS Western Conference wins in 2008 and 2009. He also won the MLS Cup in 2011 and 2012.

Before France, he had two loans spell in Italy with AC Milan. The loans to Milan were to help him gain fitness to be apart of his beloved England side. He announced in 2012 that his career in the US was up and moved to PSG on a 6-month deal in January 2013.

He made his International debut in 1996 and was made captain in 2000. He represented England at the European Championships and 3 World Cups and remains England's most capped outfield player. 115 appearances 17 goals.

While being a professional on the field, he is also one off it, he is known for charitable work with UNICEF and is the founding member of Malaria No More. He was apart of the team that brought the Olympics to London in 2012 and the team that missed out on bringing the World Cup to England. David has been a professional throughout his career and while his playing days are almost over we will still continue to love him.

David Beckham. Legend.
