Paris Saint Germain's deputy director general Philippe Boindrieux was interviewed Friday by Italian investigators in Palermo as the latter delve into allegations of extortion connected to the summer transfer from the Sicilian club to PSG of Argentine starlet Javier Pastore.

"We only signed a contract to acquire the player Javier Pastore," Boindrieux told reporters.

"If money changed hands subsequently we know nothing of it. In France we work only with the clubs and we struck an agreement directly with Palermo," he insisted.

Palermo chairman Maurizio Zamparini has accused Pastore's agent, Marcelo Simonian, of pocketing around half the 42 million euros transfer fee instead of the 17 million indicated in the contract for the deal.

Paris SG's sporting director Leonardo, interviewed last month along with the player, has also insisted everything was above board on the deal.
