Marseille not frightened of Ibra as PSG loom

Marseille full-back Jeremy Morel hinted Wednesday that the Ligue 1 leaders will have no specific plans in place to deal with Zlatan Ibrahimovic when they face bitter rivals Paris Saint-Germain early next month.

"We will see in 10 days, but I don't think there will be any anti-Zlatan plan," Morel said in a press conference when asked about the Swedish striker, who has already scored seven goals in five Ligue 1 appearances since moving to France from AC Milan in the summer.

"It is difficult not to focus on him with everything that the press are saying about him. People are only talking about him," Morel added.

"But that's fine as it leaves us in peace."

Marseille are four points clear at the top of Ligue 1 after winning their first six matches of the season.

The south-coast side travel to Valenciennes on Sunday before hosting PSG on Sunday, October 7.

"To come into the Paris game in the best shape, we need to put in a good performance against Valenciennes," said Morel, who added that OM are already "thinking a little bit" about the clash with the men from the capital.

PSG are third in Ligue 1 after six games, six points adrift of Marseille.

Morel expects to be fit to face Valenciennes despite suffering a knock to the elbow in the 1-0 win against Evian on Sunday.

Defender Souleymane Diawara could also return to the squad this weekend after training normally on Wednesday following a six-month spell on the sidelines with a knee injury.
