Paris Saint Germain's Turkey striker Mevlut Erding has extended his contract with the Ligue 1 side for a year until 2014, coach Antoine Kombouare said on Thursday.
"It's a demonstration of confidence that we've given him his extension," said Kombouare.
Erding arrived in Paris in June 2009 from French rivals Sochaux but had been set to quit the club this year after the arrival of Kevin Gameiro and Javier Pastore had relegated him to the bench.
The 24-year-old scored just eight goals last season after netting 15 during his first season with the Parisian club.
