Ancelotti looking for passion against Lyon

PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed he intends to rotate his lineup and bring in fresh legs for Wednesday's French Cup quarter-final tie at Lyon in a bid to liven up his side.

The Ligue 1 leaders were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw against Caen at the weekend and will be looking to defend their two-point lead on Montpellier against Bordeaux on Sunday.

But despite admitting the league title was the Parisians' priority, Ancelotti insisted that they would not be taking their Cup clash lightly.

"Today the most important thing is Lyon. The Cup is very important for us. If we play well for 180 minutes we can reach the final. We'll have the time to prepare for Bordeaux. In four days you can recover."

The Italian explained: "(Nicolas) Douchez is going to play. We can also use players who didn't play against Caen to have a fresh team who can play with intensity.

"(Milan) Bisevac, (Christophe) Jallet, (Mathieu) Bodmer are fresh, in good form.

"My players are doing fantastic work, we haven't lost in 12 matches (since his arrival).

"They have a fantastic attitude but sometimes I have to tell them that they have to be more focused in the match. Obviously I want to see more intensity on Wednesday."

Ancelotti added that he was pleased with Argentine playmaker Javier Pastore since his return from a left thigh injury.

"He's improving with each match. He needs to work even more because he's not 100 per cent physically. He's training very well, he wants to improve, he's motivated."
