French defender Jean Alain Boumsong will be out of action for up to six weeks with a broken toe, his Greek Super League club Panathinaikos announced on Thursday.
Boumsong, 32, fractured the middle toe of his left foot during Sunday's 1-1 draw at Panetolikos.
The former Lyon, Juventus and Newcastle United player joined Panathinaikos in 2010 on a three-year contract with a reported annual salary of about one million euros.
