Zamparini denies Kjaer link

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has dismissed rumours linking Juventus with an interest in Danish defender Simon Kjaer.

The 20-year-old central defender has been with Palermo since the summer of 2008 and has quickly established himself as a player of much promise, forcing his way in to the Denmark national team set-up.

However, Zamparini has rubbished talk being on the table from Juve.

He told TuttoJuve.com: "No teams have ever showed interest in Kjaer.

"A few days ago Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli called me to reassure me that the Bianconeri are not interested in my defender.

"All these whispers are just press speculation."
