Simplicio advised to join Roma

Palermo midfielder Fabio Simplicio has been told to join Roma by former Brazil and Giallorossi legend Aldair.

Aldair believes that the 30-year-old is suited to a move to Stadio Olimpico after reports suggested Internazionale were interested in his signature.

He was expected to join Claudio Ranieri's side before the transfer window closed and the 1994 World Cup winner would like to see the projected move become a reality.

Speaking to Palermo24.net, Aldair said: "I don't know what happened between the two parties and the contract negotiations but I have always liked Fabio as a player.

"Should he leave Palermo, they will lose a very important player.

"There are rumours circulating that he could join Roma and I can safely say that he will do well there because he is a great player with excellent qualities."
