Rubinho hits out at Genoa

Palermo goalkeeper Rubinho has hit out at former club Genoa following his summer move to Sicily.

The 26-year-old Brazilian was unhappy with the way contracts talks were handled at Genoa and feels that the Rossoblu did not do enough to convince him to stay.

He told TGS Studio Sport: "Why didn't I renew my contract with Genoa? You should ask them. We tried for a long time without a result.

"When someone really wants to close a deal, you sit down at a table and don't lose too much time.

"So, I believe that there was never a true negotiation to keep me there."
