Palermo stay interests Miccoli

Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli fully expects to agree a new contract with the club soon.

The 29-year-old former Juventus and Benfica forward's current deal expires at the end of next season but he would not be averse to extending that agreement.

"I know that my agent is already speaking with club officials - it's normal that when a contract is going to expire they meet," Miccoli told Rai Sport.

"I don't know when they will agree a new contract, but there's no rush on our part or on the part of the club.

"The possibility that I will stay here is strong. I feel important and well liked by everyone. That is very significant."
