Palermo sporting director Walter Sabatini expects coach Davide Ballardini to be with the club for at least three more years.

Ballardini was handed the reins of the Sicilian side after they parted company with Stefano Colantuono following just one game of the new season.

But Sabatini claims the club are now ready for a period of stability under Ballardini despite their inconsistent form so far this season.

"Today president Maurizio (Zamparini) spoke with the team," he revealed.

"He confirmed before all the players that Ballardini will be their coach for the next three years."
