Kjaer ponders Palermo future

In-demand defender Simon Kjaer has admitted that he is likely to leave Palermo unless they secure a place in European football next season.

The 20-year-old Denmark international is a target for several clubs in England, but Kjaer is still waiting to hear of any concrete proposals.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I'm happy to be here and I would love to conquer Europe with Palermo, but when the market is open you never know what can happen.

"I have not had a proposal and anyone who comes forward will have to speak with the club first.

"I have already spoken with the sporting director, Walter Sabatini, about next season. Much will depend on our position in the league.

"If we qualify for Europe, I will play with Palermo. If we qualify for the Champions League, that would be the maximum."
