Bresciano cools England talk

Palermo's Australia midfielder Mark Bresciano is poised to stay with the Serie A club this summer, despite having been linked with a number of clubs in England.

West Ham United, Fulham and Manchester City have all been reported to have an interest in the 28-year-old.

However, Bresciano commented: "I don't want to repeat last season, as I'm concentrated on Palermo and I will be happy to stay.

"I will work and prepare myself like a Palermo player and I have asked my agent not to call me unless there is a concrete approach.

"I want to stay as focused as possible, but if things have to change then I'll evaluate them as they happen.

"One day I would like to play in England, because that has always been one of my dreams."

Bresciano has been with the Sicilian club for two years, having previously played in Italy with Parma and Empoli, while he has also won more than 40 caps for his country.
