Wilder seeking improvement
Oxford boss Chris Wilder admits his side will have to up their level if they are to compete in League Two this season. The Us fans are still on a high following their victory over York in the Conference National play-off final at Wembley last campaign and the extensive summer recruitment campaign that the club has embarked upon, bringing in 13 new players. However, Wilder, whose side travel to Burton on Saturday for their first Football League fixture since 2006, is keeping his feet on the ground and is waiting to see how his young squad will cope with the challenges of a higher level. He told BBC Sport: "I don't want to dampen the enthusiasm we all have but it is a step up in level."We are fit and enthusiastic and have talented players. It is over to them to see what they can do in this league.""We all have to step up our game but we have young footballers desperate to prove themselves at this level and we will see where we go with that game by game."
