Oxford United goalkeeper Bradie Clarke's proposed loan move to Oxford City has fallen through.
The 19-year-old is currently one of four shot-stoppers at the Kassam Stadium and new boss Jim Smith was keen for him to gain some regular first-team experience with the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side.
However, the Spartan League does not accept temporary transfers and has, along with the FA, refused to endorse the move.
City currently head the Premier Division table and look set to clinch promotion.
Clarke joined the U's as a scholar 18 months ago and made four appearances for the club during the 2004-05 campaign but has struggled with injuries this term.
