Wright doubtful for Us

Oxford centre-back Jake Wright is major doubt for their trip to Shrewsbury. Wright had to come off in the second half of last weekend's 2-1 home win over Lincoln with a hamstring injury and he is struggling to be fit. Harry Worley, Stevie Kinniburgh and Mitchell Hanson will be battling it out to come in if Wright fails to make it, but Us manager Chris Wilder cannot select French defender Djoumin Sangare (metatarsal). Right-back Damian Batt recovered from a knock to take his starting place against the Imps but after being replaced in the 62 minute by Ben Purkiss, he might have to settle for a place among the substitutes. Steven McLean is also pushing for a starting spot after being dropped against Lincoln but then appearing in the second half and setting up United's winning goal.
