Wilder wants to maintain standards

Oxford boss Chris Wilder has urged his side to maintain their recent level of performance in order to secure their first npower League Two win against pre-season promotion favourites Wycombe on Saturday. Despite a shock 6-1 Carling Cup victory over Bristol Rovers last week, the Us are yet to record a win after the opening two league games after a goalless draw against Burton and a late defeat to Bury. Wilder believes his side have been unfortunate not to convert their scoring chances and are playing well enough to end their win-less run. "Watching the players that Wycombe have brought in, they are a good club and a good team," he told the club's official website. "We're going to have to play well, we understand that, and if we do then we give ourselves a chance of winning the game. The standards have been set and we need to maintain those standards if we're going to pick up results. "That win will come, we want it to come on Saturday."
