Wilder upset with second-half display

Oxford manager Chris Wilder was gutted his side were not able to build on their promising first-half display after they suffered a 5-0 defeat to Bradford. Following a goalless first-half, Omar Daley bagged a brace, while Lee Hendrie's penalty and further strikes from Dave Syers and Louis Moult sealed the rout. However, the game was marred by the three red cards issued as Mark Creighton and Jake Wright were dismissed for Oxford and James Hanson saw red for the Bantams. Creighton received a second bookable offence for tripping Daley, while Hanson and fellow visiting defender Jake Wright followed him to the dressing room for their part in the ensuing brawl. "I thought we controlled and dictated the game in the first 25-30 minutes. One of the big things was to quieten the crowd here and I thought we did that," said Wilder. "After half-time we conceded a very poor goal. Lee Hendrie used his experience to get the free-kick and we didn't defend it. "After the sendings off, Bradford scored two fantastic goals. We feel we have been harshly punished and we have got to make sure we bounce back in our next match on Tuesday."
