Wilder pleased with response

Oxford Utd manager Chris Wilder was pleased with the result but disappointed with his side's first-half performance in the 2-1 win over Lincoln. Cian Hughton headed the Imps into an early lead but Asa Hall levelled. Tom Craddock fired in the winner after 76 minutes before Lincoln's Daniel Hone was dismissed for his second bookable offence. Wilder said: "The first half was totally unacceptable. Our supporters had turned up in big numbers to see the team, and I wanted to watch the team go out and put on a performance. "But we shot ourselves in the foot with a calamitous goal to start with. Lincoln then sat back and made it very hard for us. There were a few strong words at half-time. "We needed to give the supporters something to shout about. But second half we were loads better, played a bit more direct and a little bit quicker. "The formation change with Steve MacLean coming on made a difference because he got on the ball and made things happen. We wanted to go out on a high and I'm delighted we have done. It was important that we won. We've not won enough at home this season."
