Wilder looks on bright side

Chris Wilder was upbeat despite the 2-1 derby defeat at Northampton and opted to look at the bigger picture as Oxford fell to only their second loss in eight games - the other six of which have all ended in triumph. Andy Holt headed the Cobblers in front just before half-time before Tom Craddock levelled early in the second half when he turned the ball home from close range with Town appealing for offside. But Leon McKenzie grabbed the winner when he headed home a cross from the impressive Holt. Wilder said: "We gave a great showing without getting the result. We've played some decent football and on another day we'd have gone on to win the game comfortably. "I thought we controlled the first half but I was disappointed the way we conceded from a set-piece. But we came back well in the second half and we got into three or four great positions in the box which should have produced goals. But Leon McKenzie is an experienced striker and he showed his class when it mattered. "The players are disappointed but we've been on a great run and the team have come a long way this season and we're definitely on the right road."
