Wilder lauds Oxford show

Oxford manager Chris Wilder praised his side's performance following their emphatic 6-1 home win over Bristol Rovers in the first round of the Carling Cup but insisted they will not get "carried away". Goals from Simon Heslop, Matt Green, James Constable and Jack Midson made it 4-1 to the Us at the break before Constable and Heslop both netted in the second period to complete the rout. Wilder told the club's official website: "It was an excellent performance from everybody. "They all contributed but we have been in the Conference for four years so there is no way we are going to get carried away with anything. "It is great to have all the strikers on the scoresheet and it was great to entertain the fans, but first and foremost we are here to win football matches. "We need to keep our heads down and we have a big game on Saturday against Bury here (at the Kassam Stadium)."
