Wilder happy with pre-season preparations

Oxford boss Chris Wilder has hailed his side's pre-season tour of Scotland as a success. The U's followed up Saturday's 2-0 victory over Dumbarton with a goalless draw against Livingston on Tuesday night. And Wilder felt the trip provided the ideal preparation ahead of their first season back in the Football League. He told BBC Oxford: "I go home as a happy manager with a decent group of players. "The players have been first class on and off the field. The new signings have impressed and are going to make selection difficult for me. The performances have been good and apart from the odd knock we are injury free. "If I am honest I want it (the new season) to start tomorrow. We still have to do the work though and tighten a few things, but after doing the leg work I think the players are ready to start as well."
