Wilder happy with new boys

Oxford boss Chris Wilder heaped praise on his new signings after his side picked up an impressive 2-0 friendly win over Dumbarton. Alfie Potter, who joined the club from Peterborough this summer following a successful loan spell, got his name on the scoresheet while fellow new boys Richie Baker, Asa Hall and Simon Heslop also impressed alongside some of last season's squad. Matt Green, Simon Eastwood, Ben Purkiss, Steve Kinniburgh, Mitchell Cole and Jake Wright have also arrived at the Kassam Stadium this summer and Wilder is happy with the business he has done in the transfer market. He told the club's official website: "I think we've signed good players; players who when they step onto the pitch show what they're worth. "Richie Baker and Simon Heslop were great out there (against Dumbarton) alongside Asa Hall. You know what you're getting from Sam, you know what you're getting with Alfie and Beano (James Constable) can think himself unlucky not to have walked away with a hat-trick. "We looked solid and we'll look for more of the same against Livingston on Tuesday when those who didn't start (against Dumbarton) get their chance to stake a claim."
