Oxford chairman Kelvin Thomas has revealed the club are planning a week-long pre-season training camp in the United States this summer to prepare for next season. United have close links with Virgin Atlantic and American team Seacoast United and are looking at the possibility of taking the squad across the Atlantic for training and friendly fixtures. Thomas told BBC Radio Oxford: "We're talking about going to Boston in pre-season. We've got some great links with Seacoast United over there and should hopefully have some details next week. "We're all pretty excited by it. It will be a first for the club and an exciting time." The club are looking to organise fixtures against New England-based side Seacoast while there is also talk of a match against Major League Soccer outfit New England Revolution. Meanwhile, manager Chris Wilder has named a strong squad for the re-arranged friendly against Thame United on Tuesday night. The fixture will mark the official opening of Thame's newly built ASM stadium.
