Clinical Midson stuns Gulls Oxford striker Jack Midson scored a stoppage-time winner to complete his hat-trick and secure a stunning 4-3 win at Torquay. Oxford took the lead against the run of play in the 35th minute when Tom Craddock beat two players before finding the corner of the net with a shot from the edge of the penalty area. The goal obviously lifted Oxford who went further ahead from a 42nd-minute corner when Midson turned in Harry Worley's downward goal-bound header. Torquay replied within a minute as top scorer Elliot Benyon meandered through the visitors' defence before slotting home under pressure from Oxford skipper Jake Wright. With Torquay pressing, Oxford countered with great effect again after 64 minutes and went 3-1 up when Midson swooped to score his second. But Benyon reacted first to score his second after 73 minutes and 12th of the season when Oxford keeper Ryan Clarke spilled substitute Billy Kee's rocket. And Six minutes later Kee levelled as his angled shot from the left edge of the box looped off an Oxford defender over Clarke and in. Benyon twice had chances to put Torquay ahead before Midson scored in the first minute of stoppage-time, converting substitute Alfie Potter's cross from the right.
