Oxford United defender Ben Purkiss says the team have no reason to let their heads drop after losing 1-0 at home to Stockport County. The U's right-back insisted the result did not reflect the quality of their performance and that there are plenty of positives to take from the match. [LNB]Purkiss told BBC Oxford: "People say look at the performance and if they are good enough the results will come. [LNB]"In the five or six games I've been in the team that was one of the best." [LNB]He added: "I think they probably only had one shot on target so you have to reflect and look at the performance. [LNB]"I don't what more we could have done apart from put the ball in the back of the net." [LNB]The former York defender has had an extended run in the Oxford side following an injury to fellow right-back Damian Batt. [LNB]"I feel as if I am getting stronger every game. I am fitter now after an injury in pre-season and am settling into the side nicely."
