Doncaster midfielder Josh Payne has extended his loan deal with Oxford until January. The 19-year-old's initial spell expired after Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Cheltenham but both clubs agreed a new deal which sees him staying with the Us until the new year. Manager Chris Wilder told the club's official website: "Josh has done great for us. He has fitted in well and is enjoying his football. "Doncaster see it as a way for him to gain valuable experience and we are happy to have him here. He is a popular lad and has done well for the team." Payne will once again be in Oxford's squad to face table-topping Port Vale at the weekend.
