Kemar Roofe set for Oxford return

Oxford's top scorer Kemar Roofe is set to boost the promotion-chasing U's ahead of their home game with York.

Roofe has sat out the last two games to rest a minor groin injury, but the 19-goal marksman is ready to return to Michael Appleton's squad.

Jake Wright (hamstring) is unlikely to be risked, while Ryan Taylor (groin) and John Lundstram (ankle) remain out and Sam Long is waiting for the results of a scan on a hip problem.

On-loan defender Jonjoe Kenny will be involved after extending his loan deal from Everton for a further month.

York striker Derek Riordan is expected to overcome a knock in time to be included after being replaced at half-time in Saturday's 3-2 home defeat to Luton.

But on-loan Newcastle defender Lubomir Satka will not feature after sustaining a knock in training despite extending his stay at the club until the end of the season on Monday.

Forward Michael Coulson is in contention after missing out on Saturday due to a recurrence of a groin problem and striker Bradley Fewster is pushing for a recall after stepping off the bench to score twice at the weekend.

Michael Ingham is hoping to keep his place in goal after making his first appearance of the season on Saturday.
