Duberry strengthens Oxford backline

Oxford manager Chris Wilder's options for the visit of York have been boosted by Michael Duberry's return to training.

The experienced defender came through a double session on Tuesday after being sidelined for three weeks with a troublesome hamstring injury.

The former Chelsea centre-back will provide another defensive option for Wilder ahead of the clash with the Minstermen and is set to be involved in some way.

Justin Richards is ruled out with a knee injury while Peter Leven is sidelined until April after undergoing knee surgery.

Deane Smalley is competing for a place in the starting line-up after playing for the last half an hour in the 1-0 victory at Home Park while James Constable looks set to start again after grabbing the only goal in that win over Plymouth.

Under-fire York boss Gary Mills is expected to make changes.

The Minstermen have won just one of their last nine league games and the board of directors have requested an immediate improvement following last weekend's 2-1 defeat at home to fellow strugglers Barnet.

That result leaves City six points above the relegation zone and the majority of sides below them have a game in hand over them.

Midfielder Jon Challinor remains sidelined with a broken leg while Ben Everson is also unavailable after joining Gateshead on loan.

Strikers Alex Rodman and Jason Walker, plus midfielder Paddy McLaughlin are pushing for recalls, but defender Lanre Oyebanjo (fractured skull) is still out, while striker Michael Coulson is closing in on a return from a long-term knee injury.
