It never Raynes but it pours

Oxford will be without the suspended Michael Raynes when they welcome Wycombe to the Kassam looking to recover from a forgettable Easter weekend.

The U's conceded late goals to draw 1-1 with Morecambe on Good Friday and then to lose 3-2 at Aldershot on Easter Monday, results which all but ended their hopes of gatecrashing the play-offs.

And they will be without Raynes who picked up two yellow cards in that loss to the struggling Shots.

Manager Chris Wilder looks set to be without winger Sean Rigg as well. The former Bristol Rovers man limped off in the opening 10 minutes with an ankle injury which the club are assessing this week.

Jon-Paul Pittman will hope to keep his place in the side after marking his first appearance since suffering a dislocated shoulder at Accrington on December 1 with a goal on Monday.

Wycombe strikers Matt McClure and Dean Morgan could both return from their hamstring injuries.

Morgan, who spent a spell with the U's earlier this season, has not featured since March 19, while McClure missed the 1-0 victory at Morecambe last time out.

Both are close to a comeback but it is unclear whether they will make it in time for Saturday's clash at the Kassam.

Matt Spring looks set to keep his place in the starting line-up having come through 90 minutes in his first appearance since February.

Matt Ingram, 19, will continue in goal in the second of three successive away games, having made his first two senior appearances over the Easter weekend.
