Wroe back for U's

Nicky Wroe will return to the Oxford squad when they face Torquay.

The on-loan Preston midfielder was cup-tied for the 3-0 home defeat to Charlton in midweek and is set to return to the starting line-up after his superb late goal beat Wycombe last weekend.

Dave Kitson missed that defeat to the Addicks with an ankle injury while Ryan Williams' knock ruled him out and the pair will be assessed in the build up to kick-off.

Deane Smalley and Scott Davies will hope to retain their places in the side after being handed starts on Tuesday night.

Chris Hargreaves has no fresh injury worries as he looks to lead Torquay.

The Gulls' new boss recorded a 2-0 win at AFC Wimbledon in his first match in management but faces a tough challenge to make it six points from six at a ground where he spent two spells during his long playing career.

Hargreaves added former Portsmouth defender Shaun Cooper to his ranks last week and the 30-year-old is available to make his United bow.

Ben Harding will be unavailable but he is nearing a return having been sidelined for three months with a tendon foot injury while striker Ashley Yeoman looks set to feature having returned from a loan spell with Bideford.
