Wilder to keep faith

Oxford boss Chris Wilder could name an unchanged side for the third successive match as they welcome Plymouth to the Kassam.

Wilder decided not to make any changes from the side that beat Dagenham as his U's drew 0-0 at York on Saturday and he has no fresh injury or suspension concerns ahead of the Boxing Day clash.

Injured trio Alfie Potter, Jon Meades and Andy Whing all remain sidelined until February with ankle problems while Sean Rigg and Deane Smalley are pushing for starts after stepping off the bench last weekend.

Plymouth will be boosted by the return of captain Conor Hourihane.

Hourihane served his one-match suspension against Bury on Saturday and now looks set to return to the heart of the Argyle midfield against the high-flying U's.

Lewis Alessandra should continue on the left of the Pilgrims' midfield after an impressive display in the 2-1 victory over the Shakers, meaning Sheffield Wednesday loanee Caolan Lavery is set to start upfront alongside top scorer Reuben Reid once more.

The Pilgrims face Oxford having failed to win their last four away games in all competitions.
