Joe Skarz to go back into battle for Oxford

Joe Skarz should return for Oxford's game against Leyton Orient after only making the bench in last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Plymouth.

The left-back missed out on a place in Michael Appleton's starting line-up in the promotion scrap at Home Park for the first time in Sky Bet League Two this campaign as he nursed a tight groin.

Goalkeeper Benji Buchel is still experiencing difficulties with the side strain that kept him out of that match and he remains a doubt.

Youngsters Aidan Hawtin and Sam Humphreys have had their contracts terminated and have signed for fourth-tier Norwegian side FK Valdres.

Leyton Orient defender Shaun Brisley is doubtful after suffering a head injury in last weekend's 1-0 defeat to Luton.

Brisley was briefly unconscious following an accidental collision with Hatters goalkeeper Jon Mitchell and needed hospital treatment for stitches in a cut above his right eye.

Nicky Hunt could again deputise alongside captain Mathieu Baudry at the heart of Orient's defence.

Reserve goalkeeper Charlie Grainger is set for a lay-off after the 19-year-old suffered a hand injury during training.
