Rob Hall to return to Oxford squad against Bristol Rovers

Oxford could welcome back winger Rob Hall as the U's prepare to host Bristol Rovers at the Kassam Stadium.

Hall was unavailable in midweek due to a hamstring problem as Oxford reached the final of the Checkatrade Trophy with a 3-2 victory over League Two Luton. However, boss Michael Appleton confirmed the midfielder is in contention to start on Saturday.

Forward Chris Maguire could miss out after he limped off in the 27th minute on Wednesday, but on-loan duo Toni Martinez and Conor McAleny both return to the matchday squad after being cup-tied for their last match.

Fellow loanee Charlie Raglan is also available.

Wales Under-21 striker Ellis Harrison could miss out for Rovers.

Harrison was forced off during the first half of Rovers' 1-1 midweek draw at Bolton with an ankle injury.

Rovers boss Darrell Clarke has numerous options with Byron Moore, who scored his first Rovers goal at Bolton after coming off the bench, Luke James and Rory Gaffney all vying for starting spots.

Full-backs Lee Brown and Joe Partington will be checked after missing recent games but central defender Peter Hartley (foot) remains out.
