U's and Daggers share six goals

Two goals from Danny Hylton helped Oxford get their first point of the season on the board as they drew 3-3 with Dagenham at the Kassam Stadium.

In a topsy-turvy encounter, the U's led from the third minute but were immediately pegged back, before the Daggers surged in front at the start of the second half.

But Hylton struck with two goals in six minutes, the second from the penalty spot, only for Abu Ogogo to level again with a brilliant 30-yard volley.

Alex Jakubiak got Oxford off to the perfect start in the third minute, turning in Joe Riley's right-wing cross from four yards out.

However, Dagenham were level after seven minutes as Jamie Cureton squared a pass for Ashley Hemmings to side-foot home from nine yards.

Alfie Potter shot against a post for the hosts before the Daggers went in front in the 46th minute with Cureton finishing neatly from 14 yards from Luke Howell's pass.

Hylton headed the U's level and then 61 minutes, after Scott Doe had fouled Jakubiak, he fired home the penalty into the bottom left corner of the net.

Yet, with 71 minutes on the clock, Ogogo replied with a stunning long-range volley over goalkeeper George Long.
