Oxford performance frustrates Wilder
Oxford boss Chris Wilder was quick to dismiss any notion amongst his players that they had performed well during the goalless draw at Stevenage.
Despite a promising start to the game in which both sides hit the woodwork inside the opening two minutes, neither side could force a breakthrough and the game fizzled out into a drab stalemate.
Wilder said: "It was a hard and physical game. My players may have thought I would be happy with a point here but I won't settle for average.
"The quality that we've shown in getting to the play-off positions recently wasn't on show in this game.
"I've popped a few balloons in the dressing room because the players thought they'd done well."
The Us would have moved back into the play-off positions with a win.
