Oxford duo knocking on the door

Oxford manager Chris Wilder has a number of selection posers to contend with ahead of his side's first ever meeting with Accrington. Jack Midson and Matt Green will continue to push for a place in the starting line-up after being named among the substitutes for the midweek Carling Cup defeat to West Ham. Simon Clist and Richie Barker impressed after coming off the bench in east London and will be in contention, while Ben Purkiss is set to continue at right-back ahead of Damian Batt. Chelsea teenager Danny Pilliskirk will not be involved after United decided against extending his one-month loan spell. "Danny is a very talented footballer and hopefully the experience here has been good for him," said Wilder on the club's official website. "He has had limited chances here due to the fact that the team has played so well but his attitude has been great and we hope he has benefited from a spell with us." Welsh centre-back Rhys Day is the U's only absentee as he remains sidelined with a knee problem.
