McLaren back to boost U`s

Oxford's Paul McLaren is set to return for the clash with Wycombe. McLaren recovered from a groin injury to feature in the 3-0 win over Burton two weeks ago but was substituted at half-time with a cut just above his Achilles which required seven stitches. The midfielder's return means boss Chris Wilder has a full squad to choose from, although on-loan Southampton forward Ryan Doble is thought to be in line for a start after coming off the bench to make his debut in last weekend's 3-0 defeat against Bury. Wilder believes a meeting with local rivals Wycombe is the perfect way to bounce back from that disappointment. "They'll be up for it," he told Oxford's official website. "They need a win, we need a win. I think it's going to be a great game for my players to show what is needed if we are to be successful next year."
