Hall extends Oxford run

Robert Hall's scored late on to give Oxford a 1-1 draw at Macclesfield which extended their unbeaten league run to seven matches.

Having clipped the crossbar with his first touch of the game in the 46th minute, Hall skipped in off the right wing in the second minute of injury time and fired a low shot which was deflected inside Jose Veiga's near post.

Macclesfield had taken the lead on the hour when striker Scott Boden, who only arrived at the club on Thursday on loan from Chesterfield, fired a volley against the underside of the bar and Tony Diagne headed in the rebound.

Diagne had two early chances, flashing a left-foot shot across the face of goal in the sixth minute and moments later seeing a long-range attempt clawed wide by Ryan Clarke.

Veiga then did well to block a low 15-yard shot from James Constable.

Macclesfield thought they should have had a penalty in the 38th minute when Boden appeared to be pulled back by Damian Batt, only for the referee to wave away the fierce protests.
